Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (dependent on experience)

Contract/Hours: Min of 35 hrs per week – Fixed Term 6-9 Months

We are seeking to appoint a Payroll & Finance Systems Implementation Project Lead to deliver a payroll & finance system for LSP within a specified time (fixed term contract) and in budget. This role requires the post holder to work with multiple departments within the University of Leicester, liaising with all management levels and working autonomously.

This is a challenging project which will take a focused, driver and resilient person to lead this project and ensure it is fit for purpose within the next financial year.

You would be working closely with the Financial Director, HR Manager and Chief Executive Officer of LSP.  You will also liaise with the Payroll and Pensions Department of the University of Leicester which is currently responsible for LSP payroll.  You would also be in contact with external partners, for example the manufacturer of one the selected software package (SAVVY), and Sage financials and payroll systems, together with Departmental Managers and individual members of staff. Your strong communication skills will be needed together with your ability to manage time efficiently to deliver in a time pressured environment.

You will have proficiency with the Microsoft Office packages and with data, analysing and reconciling data using Microsoft Excel. Prior knowledge of “StaffSavvy” software and Sage 200 and Sage payroll would be an advantage otherwise your ability to learn other relevant software programs would be essential. You will be able to use your knowledge of Payroll and the latest Legislation to move the project along.
