Post Holder Responsible To: Front of House Manager & Deputy Section Manager Hospitality (Hospitality Manager)

Location: The post holder will cover events at all University of Leicester (UoL) sites, including main campus (University Road), College Court (Knighton) Stamford Court (Oadby) and Space Park (Abbey Lane).

Contracted Hours: 35 hours per week, full time, permanent.

Salary: £20,930 per annum

The Role: 

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our hospitality events team. We have an amazing opportunity available for an experienced Team Leader to join the Leicester Services Partnership (LSP) team.

We are looking for individuals who have great people skills, are passionate about delivering excellent customer service, are able to work as part of a team and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential as you will be required to draw on your experiences to successfully lead a team at events and during busy day to day functions.

As a Team Leader you will be involved in co-ordinating and supervising our Catering Assistants and hold the responsibility for the smooth running of events and should any issues arise you will be able to think on your feet to ensure the customers’ needs are met.

You will assist the Front of House Manager and Assistant Section Manager Hospitality with the booking facility and ensure all paperwork for books are corrected.

You will assist in preparing and serving food, drinks and snacks for our customers, whilst adhering to excellent food hygiene standards and providing outstanding customer service.

You will also be required to open up and close down at the start and end of a shift, as well as lead the team successfully during your shift.

  • Allocate tasks to the team to ensure all duties carried out thoroughly and on time.
  • Coaching and training of the team.
  • Be an excellent communicator, have a real passion for food and wine.

Leicester Services Partnership was formed from the joint venture partnership between the University of Leicester and its Students’ Union in May 2017.
