Freemen’s Kitchen & Bar is the newest opened outlet on Freemen’s Campus serving hot food and drink, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

You can get your morning coffee fix before heading to main campus for a lecture or to start your working day.

It is also a very short walk away from the Sir Bob Burgess Building, if you need to pop in for a mid morning bite to eat, grab and go items or want to take up the £3.85 inclusive sandwich meal deal offer.

Hot food is available everyday, see the menu below. We’ve now added more vegan and vegetarian options for you to tuck into.

Open to students and staff, both can take full advantage of the outlet being open the longest on University campus, with a full bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

As with all our outlets, Freemen’s creates a speedy service with cashless payments and ability to pay with UPAY.

Opening Times

We have implemented a vacation closure due to less demand, and have moved staff to other areas of the business to be efficient with resource.

Hot drinks are available from WorkSmart spaces, the Starbucks vending machine is available on the ground floor of SBBB, and food outlets are available across main campus.

Wednesday 10th July until Friday 16th August
Monday – Friday
9:00am – 4:00pm

This is the place to go, as it is the only outlet, and newest, to have a full bar on main campus.

Enjoy the modern and relaxed seating area all while sipping on your favourite beverage, with the addition of multiple TV screens at almost every angle of the outlet for additional entertainment. You can watch live sporting fixtures here too.

We have a drink for everyone! Choose between drinks on draught, alcoholic and non-alcoholic bottles and cans, spirits served with your choice of mixers, soft drinks and hot drinks.

From your feedback, our menu additions are more inclusive, with more vegan and halal options to choose from.
