The concept of this outlet originally came during Freshers week 2019, where we asked customers what new foods they were looking for on campus.

Soul is designed to meet the needs of your everyday, with different options to meet all tastes and budgets. It will have you coming back for more once you give the dishes a try.

This outlet provides a type of cuisine that is popular amongst the diverse culture of students and staff.

With our customers asking for more variety and something different on campus, and from the positive feedback from staff and students alike, we feel we’ve hit the spot, the flavoursome spot!

Proud To Be Unique

Soul was named by working in collaboration with the Students’ Union African and Caribbean Society, to provide Caribbean inspired dishes.

After focus groups, taster days, pop up stalls around campus and working with authentic suppliers, we have designed an outlet with dishes which will hit the mark with added spice and flavour.

The uniqueness of its name would also be represented in the types of dishes crafted being at the heart and soul of traditional Caribbean dishes. Soul is located through the iconic archways of the original Queen’s Hall. Its purpose is to achieve nostalgic moments amongst students and staff, as well as, entice customers to try something new.
