Public Sector Catering Awards 2022

On Thursday 7th April 2022, we were recognised at the Public Sector Catering Awards as winners of the University Catering Award based on our submission for Campus Kitchen within the Percy Gee Building at The University of Leicester.

Representing the University and LSP were Cherese Lewis & Mike La Rosa (LSP Marketing & Communications Executives), Serdar Erez (LSP Retail Manager), Asa Dodd and Ashley Podgers (LSP Senior Chefs). They received the award from Phil Rees Jones –  Chair of TUCO and Jeremy Vine – Awards Host, BBC radio and TV presenter, at the Hilton Metropole in London.

The Public Sector Catering Awards recognises and celebrates the work of individuals and teams across the public sector who have gone beyond the call of duty to provide excellence in catering. The event was attended by over 500 people from the public sector catering industry.

Gavin Brown, CEO of Leicester Services Partnership said: “I am immensely proud of our LSP family and all their hard work in providing a food court for students, staff and visitors at the University.”

He added: “For the team to be recognised with this award is a great achievement, as we always endeavour to provide a consistent customer service experience, inspirational spaces to eat, drink, relax, reflect, learn and socialise and offer something entirely new.”

Other shortlisted nominees from the East Midlands included Loughborough University and the University of Nottingham.
